A Ukrainian solider narrowly avoided being killed by a ‘surrendering’ Russian. The 3rd Assault Brigade attacked Russian lines near Klishchiivka, south of Bakhmut. They quickly overwhelmed the enemy, and two terrified Russians soon surrendered. One man then took a Ukrainian solider to find his comrade, who appeared to be injured. But it turned out the man was lying on a grenade and had pulled the pin out. Luckily the Ukrainian realised and got out of the way before it exploded. The Ukrainians then helped a second wounded Russian get to safety. The 3rd Assault are leading attacks on Bakhmut’s southern flank. They are attempting to recapture the city after Wagner forces withdrew last month.
