Ukrainian troops have begun liberating villages across the Dnipro River. Video shows Kyiv’s men walking into a village that has been occupied by Russian forces since shortly after Putin’s invasion early last year. The villagers greet them with tears in their eyes and give them hugs. Ukraine is expanding its foothold on the occupied side of the Dnipro after videos revealed they are now crossing the river with ease. Pushing inland from the river is significant because it bypasses Russian defences to the north, and opens the road to Crimea.
