Over a month into the war which began on October 7, Israel has agreed to a four-hour pause in its strikes on the Gaza Strip. The development was confirmed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said he wanted to "facilitate a safe passage of civilians away from the zone of fighting". Meanwhile, Israel’s military said an organisation in Syria launched a drone that hit a school in the southern Israeli city of Eilat on Thursday and that it struck the group in response. The Israeli military also said they had located a Hamas rocket launcher on the coast of the Gaza Strip.
