Rescuers have pulled out 41 Indian construction workers who spent two weeks trapped in a tunnel that partially collapsed in India’s northern Uttarakhand state. The 41 men were working on the Silkyara tunnel when a landslide on 12 November caused a part of it to cave in, trapping them 200m away from the tunnel's mouth. A drilling machine bored its way through the wall of rubble, and then a rescue pipe wide enough for the men to be evacuated offered a way out.
