China accused the Philippines of enlisting "foreign forces" to patrol the South China Sea and stirring up trouble. The Chinese military’s remarks follow the joint patrols by the Philippine and US forces in waters near Taiwan on November 21. The joint manoeuvres by the Philippine and US forces raised the possibility of further tensions with China, which claims Taiwan as its own.
