Ruchika Sharma is a historian of medieval Indian history. She is a doctoral candidate of history at the Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Previously she has finished her MPhil and Masters in medieval Indian history from the Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She currently teaches at the Delhi University. She has also written for media platforms like The Scroll, The Quint, Newslaundry and The Wire. She runs a YouTube channel on history with a side of eyeshadow, called Eyeshadow & Etihaas / @eyeshadowetihaaswithruchika
