Colleton County Clerk of Court, Becky Hill, finds herself in more hot water when her cell phones, along with son's phones, are either missing, destroyed, or were factory reset before handing over to SLED for a forensic download to retrieve their calls, texts, and other mobile data. Hill faces allegations of jury tampering during the 2023 "Trial of the Century" between South Carolina vs. Alex Murdaugh, while her son, Jeff Hill, has been arrested for his involvement in wiretapping.
Murdaugh is now set for an evidentiary hearing January 29 on the allegations against Ms. Hill, as Hill may face even more criminal charges including obstruction of justice.
