Electoral Analyst and Political Consultant Aidan Smith says Maine removing Donald Trump from the state's Primary ballot puts a “hindrance” on the former US president's efforts to be re-elected in 2024.
The US state of Maine on Friday removed former US president Donald Trump from its primary ballot in the 2024 election.
“I think that ultimately it will be a big hindrance to his effort to win back the White House,”
“But I think even throughout all this polling probably indicates that if the election were held today despite all of this legal scrutiny Trump probably would win if the election was held today.
“I think the main thing is going to be if the Supreme Court actually rules in favour of Trump in this battle, or if they just kick it off until 2025.”
