The IDF has released new footage showcasing the operations of the Commando Brigade's Maglan and Duvdevan units in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. The commandos conducted raids on Hamas terror infrastructure, including underground sites, aiming to enhance the IDF's "operational control" over southern Gaza.
The IDF reports that troops discovered numerous Hamas tunnel shafts in the Khan Younis area. During one incident, as soldiers were inspecting a tunnel shaft, a group of Hamas terrorists emerged and threw explosives at them. The IDF states that the terrorists retaliated, resulting in their elimination.
In a separate incident, Duvdevan snipers identified and killed nine Hamas terrorists in the Khan Younis area. Both units, Maglan and Duvdevan, have been engaged in close-quarters combat with Hamas, directing airstrikes, and employing guided munitions, according to the IDF.
