Former US President Donald Trump holds a campaign rally in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Businesses owned by Donald Trump and his family were paid almost $8 million by 20 countries during his presidency, according to a report compiled by congressional Democrats.
The Chinese and Saudi Arabian governments, as well as state-owned entities linked to them, were the biggest spenders at Trump’s hotels in Washington and Las Vegas, as well as at properties in New York.
The disclosure comes from Democrats on the House of Representatives’ oversight committee and raises potential conflicts of interest as Trump seeks a second term in the White House.
