Israeli forces raided the Al-Shifa Hospital following days of heavy attacks in the area surrounding the complex in Gaza City. The Israeli military said on November 15 that it was carrying out an “operation against Hamas in a specified area” at al-Shifa.
The IDF said the raid on Gaza’s largest medical facility was based on Israeli and United States intelligence. Israel has accused Hamas of using the hospital as a base, a claim rejected by the Palestinian militant group.
