Pakistan's former prime minister Nawaz Sharif mispronounced the name of Chinese President Xi Jinping at a public event on December 9. He called Xi Jinping as 'Xi Ping' while speaking on China-Pak Economic Corridor, which passes through Pak occupied J&K. He also disclosed reason behind his ouster as PM in 1999. Sharif said he was removed by then-general, Pervez Musharraf, for opposing the Kargil War. He also stressed the need to have good relations with India while addressing party workers in Lahore on December 9. as he thought that it was important to have good relations with India. Sharif said "During my tenure as PM, two Indian prime ministers visited Pakistan. Modi sahab and Vajpayee sahab had come to Lahore." Watch this video to know more.
