Israel has dispatched its latest missile ship to the Red Sea, where the US, UK and France have already deployed their warships amid increasing Houthi attacks. For the first time, the INS “Magen”, part of Israel’s Sa’ar 6-class corvette fleet, docked at the Eilat port this week.
The IDF says the Sa’ar 6-class corvettes are being used to aid the ground forces operating in the Gaza Strip, and to strike Hamas operatives. An IDF spokesman confirmed that the corvettes attacked for the first time since they became operational.
