(12 Jan 2015) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday visited the kosher supermarket in Paris in which four hostages were killed.
Surrounded by armed security troops, Netanyahu paid tribute to those who died in the supermarket and spoke to people gathered outside the store.
The killing of four French Jews in last week's hostage standoff at the Paris kosher market has deepened the fears among European Jewish communities shaken by rising anti-Semitism and feeling vulnerable due to poor security and a large number of potential soft targets.
Since last week's attacks in France, Netanyahu has encouraged European Jews to move to Israel.
