Hundreds of protesters in Ghana, France and Pakistan took to the streets on Thursday to demand a ceasefire in Gaza, as the conflict between Israel and the militant group Hamas continues to escalate.
“We cannot sit back and see children being killed, women and children, innocent civilians, irrespective of where they come from, what their religion is, what their race is. So, this must stop.” said Samia Nkrumah, daughter of Ghanaian independence leader and first president Kwame Nkrumah.
In Paris, Samira Abdel Ouahabi said, “Life is sacred in Islam, we don't kill. We don't kill children, we don't kill elderly people, we don't kill disabled people. This is the Palestinian's land.”
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, protesters waved flags of Palestine and attended a solidarity rally for Palestinians in Karachi.
