An Indian warship docked in Manila on December 12 for a “goodwill visit” amid the ongoing Philippines-China naval standoff. Indian Navy’s Kamorta class anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kadmatt started its two-day visit as a part of its regional deployment in the Indo-Pacific. This is INS Kadmatt’s second visit to the Philippines after its first port visit in October 2017. INS Kadmatt is the second ship of the Indian Navy built as a stealth Anti-Submarine vessel and assigned to India’s eastern naval command.
