Suella Braverman is set to make a personal statement in the Commons setting out her criticism of Rishi Sunak’s approach to immigration.
The former home secretary who was sacked by the Prime Minister three weeks ago is expected to spell out her demands over the Rwanda bill to ensure deportation flights get off the ground.
She is expected to reiterate her warning that the plan to deport migrants to Rwanda will fail unless he opts out of European human rights law.
Mr Sunak, who is due to appear in the Commons for Prime Minister’s Questions at midday, is reportedly veering away from such a hardline option.
Mrs Braverman previously set out a five point plan in an article for the Telegraph including a call for the new emergency legislation to block “all avenues of legal challenge” against the flights by excluding them from the “entirety” of European and human rights laws.
