July 22, 1941. The neighbor is getting married. Anne Frank is leaning out of the window of her Amsterdam home to get a good look at the bride and groom. It is the only time Anne Frank has been captured on film. At the time of the wedding, the bride lived on the second floor of Merwedeplein 39. Although there are several photos of Anne, the only film/video with her is actually this one. For those who doubt if the video is real, read this article from The Guardian made in 2009:

The 1941 footage is the only time Anne has been captured on film. The 20-second footage uploaded to the museum's newly released channel shows Anne's neighbor on her wedding day. Anne is seen nine seconds into the video, leaning out of a second-story window to get a better look at the bride and groom. At the time of the wedding, the bride-to-be lived at 37 Merwedeplein, next to the Franks at 39.

The scene was filmed on July 22, 1941, just under a year before the Frank family went into hiding above the family business. A shorter five-second version of the video was given to Otto Frank, Anne's father, by the couple in the 1950s. After Anne's published diary became widely known in the 1950s, the couple recognized her in the film and walked in. contact Otto. Annemarie Bekker of the Anne Frank House said that using YouTube is a way to introduce Anne Frank's life to people who may have never heard of her diaries.

"The footage is very moving and unique because these are the only moving images of Anne Frank," said Bekker. "The museum has had the footage for some time, but felt that YouTube would be a good platform to show the film and other films about her life. It's another way to bring Anne Frank's life to the attention of younger people, and all the people all over the world."

The husband and wife, who are still alive and living in the Netherlands, were contacted by the Anne Frank House in the 1990s and provided the longest video.
