If I am going to do a Christmas tune of course it would have to be an obscure Eastern European Mediaeval selection, Basil of Caesarea lived in the Roman Province of Cappadocia (near present Eastern Turkey) in the 4th century. He is called the "revealer of heavenly mysteries" and is often thought of as a bridge between Eastern Orthodox and Roman Christianity.
Inspired by the George Winston version entitled "Three Minstrels" played here on two mandolins, a mandola, an octave mandolin and a mandocello. A Joyous Yule to all. (yes this counts as a Christmas card)
