Eccentric Leg Curls, with cat slides, is an exercise for the hamstrings and glutes.
1. Lie on the floor with your heel on something that can slide. If you don't have cat slides, you can use some wool strips or towels.
2. Lift up the pelvis until the hips are straight, and tighten the abdominal muscles.
3. Then slowly extend both legs. Keep the pressure point from the heels.
4. When the knee is extended, and the butt hits the ground, bring the legs back without using any force. So, the glutes should be on the ground when the legs are brought back.
This is an eccentric variation, so it should only be difficult to stretch your legs. If you think the exercise is difficult, you can do the exercise only by lifting your hip slightly off the floor, before stretching out. You can also increase the tempo, which will make the exercise easier.
