Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obaida has claimed to have inflicted massive damage on Israeli forces in Gaza. In a statement, Obaida said Hamas fighters attacked all Israeli vehicles in all Gaza areas where fighting is ongoing. Abu Obaida said that 28 vehicles were destroyed by Qassam fighters while also engaging Israeli forces in close combat. The IDF on its part said that they hit a number of Hamas sites, tunnels and killed an unspecified number of militants in the Gaza strip. The Israeli military said that heavy fighting is underway in the besieged Palestinian enclave.
