Shadow Attorney-General Michaelia Cash has joined Sky News Australia to discuss the legacy left behind by Labor MP Peta Murphy who passed away at the age of 50.
Ms Murphy passed away following her battle with cancer.
“Despite having cancer, despite having advanced stage cancer, she was still able to come to parliament,” Ms Cash told Sky News Australia.
“On behalf of certainly the opposition we join with the government and we send our condolences and also our very best wishes to her family.
“I look at the legacy that she leaves … she was someone who stood up for what she believes in.
“The fact that she was here just last week nothing stopped her for advocating for what she believed in.”
