The United States has foiled an attempt to kill the leader of the banned outfit "Sikh For Justice" (SFJ" or "Khalistani separatists"). The news comes a day after the NIA in India booked Pannun for threatening Air India passengers in a video. Immediately after the US informed India of the attempted assassination, New Delhi said that it is taking the information "very seriously" and that an investigation has already begun. The Indian Government's reaction contrasts sharply with Canada's, which came after Justin Trudeau said Canada has a "credible allegation" regarding the involvement of the Indian government in the murder of a Canadian-based "Khalistani terrorist" in Canada.
