Israel and Hamas have agreed to a temporary ceasefire deal that will enable the release of about 50 people who have been held captive in Gaza since the Hamas armed group stormed southern Israel on October 7, in exchange for Palestinians held in Israeli jails.
The Israeli army releases video showing what it says are weapons and a shaft tunnel found in a mosque in the Gaza Strip, as fighting rages on, more than six weeks after an unprecedented Hamas attack sparked an air and ground offensive by Israel, which has vowed to destroy the Palestinian militants.
