Uttarakhand Tunnel Collapse Live Updates: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the ongoing relief and rescue operation in the under-construction tunnel in Uttarkashi's Silkyara, along with General VK Singh.
The 41 workers trapped are expected to be rescued soon, as per officials. Only 12 metres of rock and debris separate them, officials said earlier on Wednesday. The under-construction tunnel had collapsed on November 12, trapping the labourers working inside.
The trapped workers include 15 individuals from Jharkhand, 8 from Uttar Pradesh, 5 from Odisha, 4 from Bihar, 3 from West Bengal, 2 each from Uttarakhand and Assam, and 1 from Himachal Pradesh.
