Sky News host Rita Panahi has criticised New South Wales's Police Minister Yasmin Catley over comments she made ahead of a mass protest at Newcastle coal port.
Ms Panahi said the “underperforming” Police Minister Yasmin Catley has put her foot in it, again after she “applauds” protesters who are set to take part in a major blockade over the weekend.
According to The Daily Telegraph protestors are expected to spend 30 hours on the weekend in canoes and kayaks on the water blocking shore access to ships that are carrying coal.
Ms Catley responded to the news ahead of the protest saying, “I applaud people for getting involved, I think that it’s important that people are having these discussions – we all know where things are headed”.
Ms Panahi labelled the NSW Police Minister's response as“utterly irresponsible”.
