Australians are experiencing severe weather across the country as the East Coast is threatened with thunderstorms and the West Coast is hit with heatwaves and bushfires.
Sky News Meteorologist Alison Osborne says, “showers have arrived over Sydney after really threatening to for the last couple of days”.
“With periods of cloud, showers rolling in there, dropping visibility, while thunderstorms fire across the outback.
“Meanwhile, the sky very dark over Perth’s northern suburbs for a very different reason yesterday, under an emergency bushfire warning.
“Today is day three of a severe heatwave, which is expected to last until next week.”
