সুরবাহার এ অপ্রচলিত রাগ শীর্ষক কাজের সুবাদে অনেক রাগের উপর আলাপ আপনাদের শুনিয়েছি । অনেকেই বলেছেন ধ্রুপদ অঙ্গে সুরবাহারে জোড় এবং জোড় ঝালা বাজিয়ে শোনাবার জন্য। আজ উস্তাদ ফৈয়াজ খান সাহেবের রাগ কালেংড়ার উপর আলাপ আর ধামার শুনে একটু বাজানোর চেষ্টা করলাম। ভুল ত্রুটি মার্জনীয়।

✅ Ramprapanna Bhattacharya has already established himself as one of the most striking, distinguished and serious young musicians in the music fraternity.

✅ He was initiated to Sitar by his father Sri Ram Udar Bhattacharya and received intense guidance from him.
Then he learnt from Sitarist late Sri Soumitra Lahiri for a brief period.
Subsequently he was privileged to have taleem from Late Pt. Kashinath Mukherjee till pandit ji's demise. He has also learnt many compositions, rare and complex ragas from Pt. Arvind Parikh.
✅ He has innumerable stage performances for the prestigious music-events, both in home and abroad, which have been highly acclaimed by connoisseurs, critics and musicians alike.
He has numerous awards and accolades including Pandit A. Kanan Memorial Award, Scholarship from Ministry of Culture - Govt of India, first prize for intercollegiate music competition, Youth festival – just to name a significant few.
✅ Being deeply rooted in the classical tradition, Ramprapanna has been teaching music for several years with respectable results. His students (including professional musicians) are spread across different continents and come from various professional backgrounds. He conducted seminars / workshops / presentations in multiple venues both in India and abroad.
✅ He has been a member of board of studies for the department of music of a highly reputed university of India.
✅ Ramprapanna has worked as IT consultant for organizations including Oracle Corporation, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Capgemini for several years.
