"Wiseguy" had a lot of stories, which is why Scorsese left out certain crucial plot points. "Goodfellas" is crazy, but it doesn't even come close to hitting the bottom of the rabbit hole. Furthermore, the facts that Scorsese left out of the picture may have been their own feature.
