BIG DECISION FROM THE SUPREME COURT SUGGESTS DONALD TRUMP TO BE DISQUAL!FIED FOR THE 2024 BALL0T
The Supreme Court has made its ruling regarding the 14th Amendment's potential to ban former President Donald Trump from running for president in 2024. The ruling comes in response to a Colorado case involving Trump's involvement in his January 6, 2021, entry into the US Capitol. Following the Colorado Supreme Court's voting restriction last month, Trump filed a request for the Supreme Court to get involved. It is unfortunate for Trump that a large number of people do not want him to serve as president of the United States once more, as the Colorado Supreme Court decided four times to three that he should not participate in the Republican primary. According to Shenna Bellows, the Democratic Secretary of State for Maine, Trump is not permitted to run for office in Maine on January 6, 2021. The Supreme Court will be debating the interpretation and application of the Fourteenth Amendment for the first time. The 14th Amendment's Section 3 forbids insurrectionists from holding public office. All people born or naturalized in the United States, including free blacks and former slaves, were guaranteed citizenship and equal protection under the law by this amendment, which was ratified in 1868 following the Civil War. The initial purpose of the Disqualification Clause was to curtail the power of former Confederates during the Reconstruction era. Two-thirds of the members of each House must vote in order for Congress to eliminate this disadvantage.
