Thousands take part in the 'National March for Palestine' in London on Saturday, January 13, calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The event comes as fighting between Israel and Hamas enters its fourth month. A temporary truce and hostage-prisoner swap deal in November lasted seven days.
Last month, the UK abstained from a UN General Assembly resolution calling for an 'immediate ceasefire', which passed with a large majority of 153. The UK did back a later Security Council resolution on humanitarian aid and 'creating conditions' for a cessation of hostilities, and has committed to calls for a 'sustainable ceasefire'.
