Sky News host Caroline Di Russo praises the Danish royal family for being “down to earth” with the former monarch, Margrethe, known as the “people’s queen”.
It follows the formal abdication of Queen Margrethe II.
She was the world’s only reigning queen and the longest-serving current monarch in Europe before her abdication.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen proclaimed Frederik the new King of Denmark on Monday morning.
“They are not as closed off as say what the British royals are - they really are part of their surroundings,” Ms Di Russo said.
