Poppa brings Kevin, the police station cat, home for the weekend. Kevin has injured his ear and wears a protective neck collar to stop him scratching his wound. Chip promises to look after Kevin, and Potato agrees to help her. Chip wants to show Kevin her snuggly bed and tries her best to lure him upstairs, but Kevin has a mind of his own and keeps wandering off. When Spud returns home from School Sleepaway Camp, Chip is excited to see her brother and introduce him to Kevin - but the cat is missing! It seems Kevin snuck out of the open front door. Chip is worried that Kevin might be lost but soon Spud spots the cat in the communal garden. He rushes to retrieve him, but Kevin is scared and darts up the apple tree and gets stuck! Thankfully, Spud learnt all about climbing trees at Sleepaway Camp and helps rescue Kevin. At bedtime, Chip is overjoyed to discover that Kevin has found his own way onto her bed, but Potato isn’t quite so excited – she can’t get to sleep for Kevin’s snoring!
