Donald Trump spoke to supporters in Des Moines on Jan. 15 after the Associated Press declared him the winner of the Iowa caucuses.
The former president congratulated several of his GOP presidential rivals, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who announced later that night he would exit the race.
The Associated Press said it called the race for Trump based on early returns and findings from the AP VoteCast, a survey of voters who planned to caucus. "Both showed Trump with an insurmountable lead," the AP reported.
DeSantis will finish a distant second to Trump, according to the AP, and Haley will finish third.
