Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says the Federal Court’s judgment on Santos’ Barossa gas project is “damning” of the tactics used by the Environmental Defenders Office.
A Federal Court judge has rejected the environmentalist group’s application to halt a gas pipeline from being built.
“It’s absolutely damning and scathing of the tactics employed by the Environmental Defenders Office,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“They’re not defending the environment.
“They are simply trying to stop jobs and prevent cheap energy from coming to the Australian people.”
