Hamas has claimed responsibility for an attack in Israel on Monday that left a 70-year-old woman dead and at least 17 injured after two Palestinian men rammed civilians with vehicles.
The elderly woman was allegedly stabbed by the two suspects during a carjacking.
She was taken to hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Local hospitals have said nine of the 17 victims who survived the ramming attack were children, with three of the victims left in critical condition.
Two French citizens were also among the victims, according to France's Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné.
The attack took place in Ra’anana, a town north of Tel Aviv and according to Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst, Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
The two suspects are related and have been identified as 25-year-old Ahmed Zidat and 44-year-old Mahmoud Zidat, according to Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency.
