Jim spent about three months designing the chicken coop in CAD, digging and placing the foundation (three times to get it right!), and then cutting the individual pieces of wood to fit together.
While Jim was building the coop, Dawn was painting all the wood pieces before screwing them into place. (Paint was 'laid on thick' to ensure fewer cracks and crevices for bugs to hide.)
