The self-enamored and greedy Tasmanian devil called Tasman becomes a witness of how an eagle owl named Filya gets stuck in a tree. Filya asks for help, but Tasman never helps anyone for free – he leaves Filya and goes away. Soon he accidentally runs into Spike and Small. From an overheard conversation Tasman learns that the martens are hunting for treasures. Spike offers himself to them as a partner. The martens refuse him. Then, showing his teeth, Tasman orders them to tell him everything about treasures, otherwise they will regret it. The martens run away. While running in the forest they accidentally knock down two cassowaries. The cassowaries are angry and want to punish Spike and Small. But they are saved by Tasman. The martens realize that such a tough guy will not be one too many in the team. The decisive argument is that Tasman knows where to look for the lost Filya.
