Today is my story about the disasters and accidents of the 392th Separate Long-Range Reconnaissance Aviation Regiment, which was based at the Dremuchiy village of Kipelovo, Vologda Oblast. The regiment had 3 squadrons of Tu-95RTs aircraft for target designation.
The video describes the circumstances of all disasters and accidents of the unit.
At that time, there were a large number of accidents and disasters precisely because of the failure of power plants.
Rastyapin's crew disaster,
Accident of Khadartsev's crew,
Accident of Khazagerov's crew,
Crash of the crew of Veyshnarovich Khorol aviation of the Pacific Fleet, 304 ODRAP on April 20, 1984,
The disaster of the Zubkov regiment's crew, the cause of the disaster was the destruction of the elements of the 3rd power plant,
Disaster on February 13, 1985 of Tu-95RTs, crew of Major S.D. Krivenko of the 169th mixed aviation regiment of the Pacific Fleet Air Force. The reason is the failure of the 4th engine.
In the aviation of the Pacific Fleet, there was a case of alternate failure of 4 engines. The altitude allowed all four to be launched and the crew made a landing.
And these are not all cases.
In 1989, the 392th Air Reconnaissance Regiment was ordered to redeploy to the Ostrov Pskovskaya Oblast airfield.
On December 1, 1993, the regiment was disbanded and ceased to exist as a combat unit. The TU-95 RC aircraft were decommissioned and subsequently disposed of.
Blessed memory of aviators! And as long as we remember them, they are alive !!!
