Hurricane Ian put out a devastating storm surge in the Fort Meyers Beach area. This video from the island directly behind FMB shows large boats flung on top of other boats which are resting on buildings. Other video shows homes completely destroyed. Many fishing boats were slung onto land. Some boats were thrown into the road.
