http://www.stvincent.edu | On Oct. 17, the Ann Kinzer Clark, M.D., Memorial Lecture Series and the Saint Vincent College Threshold Series welcomed Dr. Cornel West, professor of the practice of public philosophy at Harvard University and noted philosopher, social critic and author, to the Robert S. Carey Student Center’s Performing Arts Center, where he delivered a presentation entitled “The Arts as Prophetic Witness in Times of Suffering and Despair” to a capacity crowd.
West, who also holds the title of professor emeritus at Princeton University, was welcomed to the stage by longtime friend and Latrobe native Dr. Andrew G. Clark, director of choral activities and senior lecturer of music at Harvard University and the son of the late Dr. Ann Kinzer Clark, for whom the memorial lecture series was established.
