You can count on the fingers of two hands the 308 Gr.4s built by Michelotto for Ferrari with the intention of roughing it in the tough World Rally Championship at the dawn of 4X4 cars. The strongest push came once again from Charles Pozzi, the legendary French dealer who had already won Le Mans in '72 with a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 driven by Jean-Claude Andruet. It was with this driver that the 308 Gr.4 rally car won the Tour de France and, with us, with Tognana of the Jolly Club, the Italian title. Targa Florio and so many other races until the evolution of the 288 GTO was halted due to the change in regulations that we all know. Some visceral, beautiful and tremendously fun cars to drive remain from it. I had a date with one of them in Costa Smeralda, just with a relevant livery, that "Olio Fiat" that always made us dream.
