TALY FROM ICTUS: • ITALIA DA ICTUS - Politica e SOCIETÀ
NIGHTMARE QUESTIONS: • INTERROGATORI DA INCUBO
One day in the CULT district court, broadcast on RAI.
Stuff almost 40 years ago.
Praetor: Angelo Sodo; prosecutor of Nardò (LE).
The Praetor Sodo seems to have a great dialectical / logical / educational capacity seasoned with a lovable pinch of sadism. There is also no doubt that HEAVY penalties have been distributed to people accused of crimes where a verbal warning or a kick in the ass from the plate would have been sufficient.
However, it is important to relate everything to a historical context that NORMALLY included situations such as the woman enslaved at home, gays considered insipid and concepts that ONLY NOW we consider as subhuman.
The defendants, at least apparently not great criminals, I don't know how to describe them; they look like they came out of a movie.
This video in my opinion has a great historical value. It makes the youngest understand and remind the experienced, how we were in Italy until recently.
- The PRETORE in the Italian judicial system, was the magistrate with territorial jurisdiction delimited by the district and extended, by matter, to civil and criminal judgments of limited entity, in the first instance (and also on appeal, limited to civil matters).
- The Praetor Angelo Sodo, who died at the end of 2016, was one of the best-known representatives of the "Season of the praetors", a piece of history of the country that between the 70s and 80s saw the togas the protagonists of a profound costume change.
As praetor of Nardò, Sodo distinguished himself for an infinite chain of measures adopted to try to stem the phenomenon of unauthorized building on the Ionian coast, in particular in Porto Cesareo. A presence that, however, was not enough to prevent the havoc that was done in those years. His, too, the kidnappings that have led to discussion. He had the square of Santa Caterina seized, at the time the nerve center of nightlife but open to traffic that was not always respectful of pedestrians. Also his was the seizure of the road that leads from Nardò to the sea, the scene of numerous accidents. Then the seizure of the cliff and the sea in front of Porto Selvaggio, to put an end to the invasion of motorboats that put the safety of swimmers at risk. The marine park, with its strict rules, would be born decades later.
As a praetor of Alessano, he signed a sentence that caused the country to be discussed and divided: he condemned a young mother for a slap in the face of her teenage son. A sort of "funeral" of the "educational slap".
Omnipresent in the area, he also used to deal with crimes not within his strict competence, including murders.
