Ukrainian society is committed to a future in the European Union and is eager to divest from its Soviet-inherited past. Since 2014, Ukraine has demonstrated significant progress in addressing corruption by reforming institutions and laws and prosecuting government officials and oligarchs. Much remains to be done, especially in bringing systemic changes within government and judicial bodies. A clear vision of Ukraine’s governance and anticorruption reforms is paramount in sustaining Western support for the country and for joining the European Union in the future.
Please join the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development online or in person on Monday, November 13 at 8:30AM EST to discuss the country’s progress on anticorruption, and its reform priorities.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
