Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper was fined $300,000 for throwing a drink at a Jaguars fan during last week's loss to Jacksonville. Now, thousands of Panthers fans are calling for the NFL push Tepper out as the team's owner.
On this edition of WCNC Charlotte To Go, we're taking a look at the NFL bylaws and whether Tepper could be forced to sell the Panthers for his outburst. Tepper issued a brief statement saying he regrets his behavior and should've let NFL stadium security handle the situation. As a result, he accepted the NFL's punishment.
However, for Tepper to be forced out, it would require a vote from three-fourtsh of NFL owners. Without that consensus, the league will not take action as far as making him sell the team.
What do you think? Should David Tepper be removed as owner of the Panthers or is this all overblown amid a terrible season? Comment below or text us at 704-329-3600. #Panthers #NFL #DavidTepper
