In a rapid and decisive operation, elite marine commandos of the Indian Navy on Friday successfully rescued 21 crew members, including 15 Indians, from a bulk carrier in the North Arabian Sea. The operation was prompted by an attempted hijacking of the Liberian-flagged vessel, MV Lila Norfolk, by a group of around five to six armed individuals. "All 21 crew including 15 Indians onboard the vessel were safely evacuated from the citadel," Indian Navy's spokesperson Commander Vivek Madhwal said.
