Amid rising tensions in the Red Sea, a commercial vessel with around 15 Indians on board was hijacked off the Somalia coast. Indian Navy immediately swung into action and deployed INS Chennai to monitor the hijacked 'MV Lila Norfolk' ship. INS Chennai has been diverted and deployed to assist the Liberian flagged merchant vessel with 15 Indian crew onboard. Indian Navy is currently monitoring the hijacked vessel's movement and has established contact with its crew
