New year, new laws. Hundreds of laws were passed by California Governor Gavin Newsom. By 2024, a number of those laws are set to go into effect — along with some from years past. Those new laws will impact the wages of minimum wage workers and, especially, fast food workers. Others will have a broader impact with paid sick leave and family leaves, possibly improving work-life balance.
