Matthew Centrowitz's victory in the 1500 meters at the 2016 Olympic Games marked a historic moment for the United States, as he became the first American to achieve this feat since 1908. On the other hand, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, the Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner, has carved his own legacy.
