Watch News at Ten as South Africa launches a genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
The African nation cited violations of the Genocide Convention in relation to Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the court said in a statement.
Israel has responded to the application - calling the claims within it both "baseless" and a "blood libel".
It also claimed South Africa was "collaborating" with a "terrorist group [Hamas] that calls for Israel's destruction".
